Building Real Financial Capability
Our program isn't about quick fixes or fancy spreadsheets. It's about understanding money in a way that actually makes sense for how you live and work.
We started this because too many people were coming to us frustrated. They'd tried apps, read books, watched videos – but still felt lost when it came to their actual finances. The gap between theory and practice was just too wide.
So we built something different. Something that focuses on practical skills you can use straight away, taught by people who've spent years working with real clients facing real money challenges.
Meet Your Instructors
Both have spent more than a decade helping Australians sort out their finances. They bring different backgrounds but share the same philosophy – financial literacy shouldn't feel like homework.
Bryn Kelderman
Lead Financial Educator
Bryn spent twelve years as a financial adviser before realizing most people needed education more than they needed products. He's good at breaking down complex topics without dumbing them down. His sessions focus on real scenarios – the kind that keep people up at night.
Petra Vanlith
Financial Systems Specialist
Petra worked in corporate finance before switching to education. She's particularly skilled at helping people build systems that actually stick. Her background in behavioral economics means she understands why we make the money decisions we do – even when they don't make logical sense.
How the Program Works
Foundation Phase
We start with the fundamentals that actually matter. How money flows, where it goes, and why traditional budgeting advice often fails. You'll map your current situation without judgment.
Weeks 1-4
Systems Building
Here's where we build your personal financial infrastructure. Not someone else's system, but one that fits how you actually earn and spend. This is hands-on work with your real numbers.
Weeks 5-10
Long-term Planning
The final phase looks forward. We cover debt reduction strategies, saving approaches that work for different income patterns, and how to make decisions about bigger financial moves with confidence.
Weeks 11-16
What Makes This Different
Most financial education assumes everyone's situation is roughly the same. Ours doesn't. We've found that people learn best when they're working with their actual circumstances – irregular income, family obligations, existing debt, whatever it is.
The program runs over sixteen weeks because that's how long it takes for new habits to become automatic. You can't change your relationship with money in a weekend workshop, no matter what anyone promises.
Sessions are small – we cap them at twelve people. This isn't a lecture hall. You'll have time to ask questions about your specific situation and get practical feedback.
- Weekly small-group sessions with plenty of time for individual questions
- Practical exercises using your own financial information (confidential)
- Access to both instructors between sessions for follow-up questions
- Resource library with templates and guides you can actually use
- Optional one-on-one review sessions at weeks 6 and 14
